Deon and Matthew Clifford Memorial Trophy for the Clubman of the year
(Originated circa 1972)
The club man of the year award is the most prestigious award any male OHA member can have bestowed upon them.
This award recognises the dedication, commitment and contribution that a particular male individual has given, for the greater benefit of the club.
The award was renamed in 1996 in the memory of brothers Deon and Matthew Clifford who tragically lost their lives while bushwalking together near Lake St Clair in the Tasmanian highlands. Deon and Matthew were dedicated OHA players and members and were recipients of the junior clubman of the year in 1986 (Deon) and (1990 & 1991) Matthew.
