A life membership is the highest honour the OHA Hockey Club can bestow on an individual. Also, it is a rare honour; in the clubs nearly 100 year history there have only been 31 people ever awarded life membership. At Saturday night’s Presentation Dinner our newest life member was inducted into this very exclusive club. Congratulations to Susan Brooks, our Club’s 32nd Life Member.
The Tassie Tigers went on to claim a bronze medal at the AHL finals on the Gold Coast.. Well done guys!! Congratulations to all our OHA boys – Jeremy Edwards, Nick Leslie, Kurt Mackey, Sam McCambridge & Oliver Smith on winning Bronze!
Congratulations to all our OHA teams who battled it out in atrocious conditions on Grand Final Day. We came home with 4 senior premierSHIPS this year. The Masters men got the ball rolling, winning the clubs first premierSHIP ealier in the season. On Grand Final Day our 2nd Grade Men got us off to a great start with a 4-3 win over arch rivals University, while our 4th Grade Men held on for a 1-0 victory over NWG. Our Premier League Men then held out University 4-3 to claim their 4th consecutive PremierSHIP! Well done to all our PremierSHIP winning teams.
The OHA Club song is a very special song that rings out across the hockey centre, and beyond, on Grand Final Day & is sung with gusto by players & supporters after winning a grand final. Be loud & proud and sing along with our teams! To see how it should be sung, check out our first PremierSHIP team of the year, our Master’s Men, giving us their best(?) rendition of the song!
Congratulations to all our club winners from the SHL Awards night on Saturday night. OHA once again took home a fair chunk of the trophies, including the biggest trophies of the night!
