Bec Ryan Memorial Trophy
Bec Ryan passed away in 2013 following a long battle with cancer, having played for OHA at both a junior and senior level over many years from 2000 until 2010. She was always very determined and never let ill health prevent her from playing hockey. Bec will be remembered as a person who had a positive approach to life and tried her utmost to achieve what she set out to do. Despite her illness, she completed her medical degree and began work as a doctor in 2013.Bec was very much a team player and was always strongly supportive of her friends and colleagues. She will be remembered always for her beautiful smile, her courage and her enthusiasm for life.

Criteria:
This award is for a player who is very determined, sets goals and achieves what they set out to do. It is for a player who has a positive approach to life, and is supportive of friends and colleagues – doing anything for anyone, anytime.
