Our first club and community event is under way!

I’m excited to announce that again we will be taking part in The March Charge this March.
The March Charge is a fun personal fitness challenge that has an enormous impact on how cancer is researched and treated. Just by walking or running for Cancer Council this March, and by raising funds, you can help us Charge ahead with cancer research, prevention, advocacy and support services.

You can choose to go solo or get your friends/family/colleagues together and do it as a team – it’s up to you!

Charge anywhere/anytime you like! Charge in the morning with your family or walk with your colleagues at lunch – it’s your Charge and your choice.

If this feels like something you want to be a part of, Sign up to the OHA Hockey Team today and get moving – anyone is able to join

Come & join the OHA team, or click on the link to make a donation. Your support is appreciated.

SOME FAQS

One third of cancers can be prevented by following a healthy lifestyle; including by being physically active every day, enjoying a healthy diet and maintaining a healthy body weight. Every year in Australia around 37,000 cancer cases could be avoided by prevention alone.

In response to this, we created The March Charge. We’re taking a head on approach to beating cancer and for the whole month of March we’re telling cancer where to go. By taking part, you’ll be reducing your cancer risk, promoting physical activity and helping raise vital funds for cancer research, prevention, advocacy and support.

When and where is The March Charge?
The March Charge is an online, month long personal challenge that starts on the 1 March 2019 and runs through until the 31 March 2019. Participants can walk or run solo or with friends/family anywhere and anytime during March.

How far do I have to Charge?
The March Charge is a personal challenge not a race, so you can choose how many kilometres you’ll charge during March. You want to challenge yourself though so your friends get behind you.

You can find out more FAQS via the March Charge Website.
