As I discussed earlier in the year in 2018 we are looking at the ways in which we administer subscriptions to the club for the costs imposed on us by Hockey Tasmania. This is in conjunction with a modest increase to the OHA member and administration fees, some which have remained mostly unchanged for nearly a decade. In previous years OHA has and will continue in 2018 to see subsidised junior fees, student discounts, early bird payment benefits and the lowest possible senior fees. This will be measured against maintaining the sensible financial stability of each of our teams and reflect our passion for participation and enjoyment in our club. We do not intend to charge juniors with both full junior and senior subscriptions where they undertake development in their hockey careers by playing senior hockey. However, we do need to ensure that our teams do not constitute a financial drain on our clubs savings and we cover the cost from Hockey Tasmania as best we can. On Monday the 16th of April your committee is meeting (as we do every month) to conduct its business. Part of which is the finalisation of the annual subscriptions. Rest assured we have the best interests of the club and its junior and senior members at heart as well as the clubs financial future. We may rely upon policies of previous committees and the future direction of the club to guide our thinking to ensure the best participation, value for money and financial stability of our club.
