OHA Members
With the 2020 hockey season suspended until further notice, and our way of life changing daily, it is important to stay connected. We know that hockey plays a huge role in both our physical and mental health, and the social aspect of playing in a team and being part of this great club is what many of us thrive on. In this time of social distancing, it is the lack of these social interactions which will challenge many of us.
I found a great article on ‘The Conversation’ website, which gives some advice on how we can all stay connected. Please take some time to read their tips and make sure you remain connected with your team mates, as well as your family and friends. Your message of support could make all the difference in helping someone who is struggling to keep going.
There’s also an article from James, the Speak Up Stay ChatTY Sports Program Coordinator and Exercise Physiologist about staying active, staying connected and staying safe.
Remember in times like this, it’s essential we support one another. These unprecedented times are stressful for everyone so as a club and as a community please reach out to your team and club mates and let’s keep the OHA spirit alive.
