The OHA Premier League Women remain in 2nd place on the ladder after defeating Canterbury 2-0 on Saturday 10/8/19. With one round remaining they still have a chance of finishing as minor premiers, but that will depend on a win over 4th placed Diamondbacks, and Derwent losing to Canterbury in Round 20 on Saturday.
Whatever the result however, OHA will enter the finals with a “double chance” and will face Derwent in the Semi-final on 24 August.
OHA played without their Under 16 stars (away at the School Sports Carnival) and Jean Flanagan. Sarah McCambridge got them off to a great start with a solo run and goal.
The middle of the game was tight and Evie Dalton had to make several good saves to hold OHA’s 1-0 lead. Eventually Sofie McLeod put the result beyond doubt with OHA’s 2nd goal from a PC conversion. A solid result!
