The Centenary Committee embarked on a 100 Year Auction. The target of ‘100 Items for 100 Years’ was achieved through the overwhelming generosity of our OHA Community. The donations of items, vouchers, experiences and even a brand new car, were outstanding.
The auction items went live online our website some five weeks before our GREEN DAY – 100 Live auction event. All items were uploaded and advanced bids were managed individually before the big day through the talented and generous IT support of Lisa Jekimovics and Nicolas Turner from Corporate Communications (cctas.com.au/), yet another in-kind donator and contributor to our club.
On the day, our live auctioneer and Life Member, James McLeod, entertained the large gathering of keen bidders with his sense of humour, crowd engagement and intimate knowledge of the audience making a fun night. James did a sterling job, and we thank him for taking on the role to make the night and auction an enjoyable one for everyone who attended.
The centenary committee has now contacted all the winning bidders and is currently doing the final counts. The results will be known by the end of this week so stay tuned next week to hear all about the result!
