OHA Hockey Club is the 2018 Good Sports TAS Club of the Year!
OHA Hockey Club was crowned Tasmanian Good Sports Club of the Year at the Good Sports Awards announced in Melbourne on Monday. OHA was one of five Tasmanian sports clubs recognised at the 2018 Good Sports Awards.
The Good Sports Awards recognise outstanding local sports clubs, as well as the passionate people within these clubs, that are dedicated to fostering a healthy and inclusive culture for their members and guests.
OHA Hockey Club, has reached the highest level of the Good Sports program, implementing policies around alcohol, safe transport and tobacco. We have gone above and beyond the Good Sports Healthy Minds program, building a club environment where there are inclusive conversations around mental health and strong, positive support networks.
We want to thank all of you for helping us to create a welcoming, family friendly club environment where everyone is encouraged to participate. Good Sports was impressed by our commitment to aligning with their program to ensure our club is healthier and safer for all members and visitors.
