A life membership is the highest honour the OHA Hockey Club can bestow on an individual. Also, it is a rare honour; in the clubs nearly 100 year history there have only been 31 people ever awarded life membership.
To be nominated for this prestigious membership the person must be recommended by two members with a minimum of 8 years at the club. The nomination must then be ratified by 10 members with at least 5 years membership each of the club. This totals 66 years of experience, membership of and understanding of the clubs values and attributes. These 66 years experience are required just to be nominated for consideration of Life Membership.
To be awarded one is recognition of a significant, sustained and highly valued contribution to the OHA Hockey Club.
At last Saturday night’s Presentation Dinner our newest life member was inducted into this very exclusive club.
Congratulations to Susan Brooks, our Club’s 32nd Life Member.
