Some photos of OHA PLW players in the first game of the 2018 AHL tournament: Tassie Van Demons vs ACT Strikers, Hobart 6-10-18. The team included debutantes Laura Spandler (#11) and Nellie Paynter (#16). The other OHA players were Sofie McLeod (#1), Jean Flanagan (#15), and Sarah McCambridge (#18/Captain).
The Van Demons went down to a strong ACT side that included two overseas imports and a couple of national squad players. Until the final few minutes, the score was held to 1-0, and it took a couple of good saves to keep the Van Demons scoreless. A late second ACT field goal and then a one-on-one conversion finally took the match out of reach at 3-0.
