In 2018 the cost of participation in the AHL will be in excess of $125,000 and although HT have obtained State Government support of $75,000, this still leaves a shortfall of at least $50,000.
In previous years, this shortfall was met from a members levy’s but in 2018 Hockey Tasmania will be auctioning off the opportunity to sponsor our Tigers and Van Demons players to support our AHL campaign.
Each individual playing shirt will be up for auction, with the successful bidder gaining access to prominent advertising space on the playing shirt, on ground promotion of their business, and a hospitality package (grandstand seat + food and drink) for the four AHL games to be held in Hobart on October 6 and October 13.
Supporting our national league teams this year will help with the long term viability of our great sport and ensure that the thousands of juniors playing hockey in this state can continue to strive towards state and national level competition.
