The 2018 registration portal is now live at https://memberdesq.onesporttechnology.com/35/org
*You can get your Spectator Pass by clicking on the link above too.
The subscription remains at $110 for senior players but has increased by $6 for juniors (which by definition now includes 18-year-olds) and by $20 for Stick2Hockey (previously U10 or modified rule) players.
The components of the subscription have changed from 2017.
• The Hockey Australia Levy has been increased to $25 (GST excl) for seniors and $15 (GST excl) for juniors including those who play a modified rules version of our game.
• The AHL levy has been removed.
• Insurance premiums have been reduced to $10
• To assist in the transition from junior to senior hockey, players aged 18 will pay the junior rather than the senior subscription
Subscriptions for 2018: (GST and Transaction fee inclusive)
Payment of the senior or junior subscription will allow players to participate;
• In any full field club competition that commences in 2018
• In more than one grade in any competition.
• In more than one regional competition during the season.
• For both school and club in the same competition.
Players aged 18 or younger should only pay the junior fee even if they play in a senior competition or play as a senior and junior.
The Stick2Hockey subscription is payable by juniors of any age playing a modified version of hockey. For example, a small field competition in Hobart or a U14 modified rules competition in Burnie. This subscription does not allow participation in a traditional full-field club competition but does provide eligibility for regional or state selection. Only one payment is required to enable participation in all Stick2Hockey rosters during 2018.
Seniors can choose to pay for half a season ($57) at a time and 7-day subscriptions ($22) are available for players who participate intermittently during the season.
Hockey Tasmania acknowledges that the cost of the 7-day subscription has increased significantly from 2017. However, a fee of $22 is necessary to ensure that all costs are covered for each individual. Our 2017 data showed that on average two 7 day subscriptions were purchased for each individual registration.
Hockey Tasmania is the only State Hockey association in Australia that offers 7 day or half season subscription options.
As a player, you must register and pay before you play a game. If you do not your details will be unable to be entered into the competition management system and your team will have been deemed to have played an unregistered player.
More importantly, you will not be insured.
Hockey Tasmania will distribute player passes to clubs for their senior members who are appropriately registered and paid. The player pass will entitle you to access to the Northern Hockey Centre and the Tasmanian Hockey Centre free of charge.
There will be no entry fee at these venues for juniors.
Season gate passes can be purchased online by non-players for $70.
Life members will receive free Season gate passes upon application http://www.hockeytasmania.com.au/About-Us/Life-Members
A series of FAQ’s are available on Hockey Tasmania’s website in relation to the registration process. I encourage you to read these.
